The plot is simple. The half-blood child of a demon has to decide whether to go with the human side or go with the demon side.
Giles, Willow, and Xander have a tiny amount of dialog. Most of the story revolves around the half-demon and Buffy’s sister. Spike wanders in and out of the story.
This is not an exciting story. The plot is okay. The pacing is a bit slow.
I recently found out that there is a new television series coming out called Under the Dome. It is based on a book of the same title by Stephen King.
One thing lead to another and I just finished reading that book. It was one lengthy tome! Maybe I expected too much? The ending was lame. The bad guys were bad stereo types taken to an extreme of stupid.
The characterization of small towns as enclaves for bible thumpin’ crooked politicos supported by not-so-bright law enforcement rubes was idiotic. The plot for this story was so weak that the author could not have found a way to make it work without the extreme stereotypes that he used. If the series is closely based on this book, it is going to be incredibly lame!
King is just another liberal elite. After reading this book, I know far too much about his political views than I should. I know that he has contempt for middle America. I know that anyone who did not support Obama in both elections, without question, is a racist. In short, I have seen yet another ultra liberal who is incapable of respecting the views of others because he has been poisoned by his hatred of differing viewpoints. It is obvious that King and his political views are like his books, irrelevant stereotypes describing an imaginary world, badly!
The bottom line? I really wish I had not wasted my time on this stinker! I refer to both the book and the author.
Okay, how do you survive an elephant charge? The following link shows a National Geographic biologist’s solution:
If Indiana is ever overrun with the ever dangerous and insidious elephants, I’ll know what to do. That is such a relief. One less thing to worry about.
I am in the process of converting all of the pages to PHP. The code is now cleaner and works better. Menus and footers are standardized on most of the pages.
Believe me, there are cosmetic issues right now, but the advantages make it all worth it!
I’ve finally gone with a new menu system. The new system should work nicely with tablets. Tablet computers do not have a hover state, ergo, the new menus.
I have also started translating from html to php. During the process, I anticipate massive refactoring of the code base. I have already started generating include files like there is no tomorrow!
I am considering including the menu on EVERY page and using the 960 grid on each of those pages. I haven’t decided yet, but I am leaning heavily towards doing it.
