Bank Liquidity Issues?

BBC News is reporting that HSBC is making it difficult to withdraw large quantities of money.

Now, I’m reading that “some Halifax, Lloyds, Bank of Scotland and TSB customers have had problems using ATMs…”

Either the British are getting a bit skittish or the devalued money supply is about to blow up. None of this is something that hasn’t happened in one form or another in the past. The concern arises from the combination of an incredibly weak dollar and a stock market poised to plummet off a cliff combined with monstrous public debt and government spending out of control. Add a serial liar clueless leader into the mix who is single-handedly destroying one sixth of the American economy and you are not going to create confidence.

I expected everything to make it past the 28th of this month. Maybe I was wrong.

Maybe it is time to invest in canned goods and shotgun shells? I could just stop reading the articles on the internet? Both strategies have their advantages.

What is bento?

What is bento?

Bento is a traditional Japanese home-packed meal.  It can be quite ornate with artistic representations of anime characters, cartoon characters, or natural scenes made out of the food items included in the meal.

In short, bento isn’t just a meal, it can be an artistic presentation as well.  If you have some time, you should do an image search for “bento” on Google.  You will be amazed by the variety, the colors, and the creativity.

As I shovel snow today

I wonder to myself, when the temperature is -11 and the windchill is -39, as I shovel snow, am I the only one who thinks that nudists may have to rethink that whole no clothes thing?

Then I wonder if I have been shoveling a little too long.

Then I go inside and play on the computer.
